Release Notes

This is the initial release of this app.

It may also be the final release of this app unless a lot of people want it or I find bugs that I need to fix.

I coded this over a weekend. It was tested against my Server, but is COMPLETELY A USE AT YOUR OWN RISK PRODUCT.

To use it you connect to a project, and select the parent and the child work item types. You then press Make It Go. It will go through all of the parent work items and create a new link and delete the old link. The only links it changes are those that point to a Work Item that is of the "Child Type".

Because a work item can only have 1 parent, if two work items of type "parent" link to the same work item of type "child" then it will make the first one it finds the parent.

For example. If I select "Product Backlog Item" as the "parent" type and "Task" as the Child Type, then it will find all Product Backlog Items and change any links for those items from Relational to Parent/Child (if the link points to a Task).

Reviews for this release

Does exactly what I need it to -- convert "related" links to parent/child links in TFS. Would be 5 stars if it showed some type of progress indicator. Context: I'm migrating from TFS 2008 with Scrum for Team System v2 to TFS 2012 with Visual Studio Scrum 2.1, and I need all my Tasks to have parent/child links to their Product Backlog Items to get the TFS 2012 task board to work correctly.
